Some Big News Is Coming...

Updated: Dec 3, 2023

Writing a book is something that I have always wanted to do, and some big news is coming. I am inspired by all the other authors who have gone down the same path I am about to. Investment in not only money but also time is stressful. I want to be sure it's good. As I get into the process, it seems pretty straightforward. I need to get my thoughts all together in an orderly fashion and then explain my thoughts and ideas that are comprehendible to anyone who isn't me. I am going to discuss this in the book.

The book is called Get Good At Sales, and I wrote it for my kids. I imagine that someday, the question may come up about what direction they need to go to succeed. Or I might give them the book when they get older and say this is the stuff I never taught you. :) Either way, you need to sell to persuade people to get what you want. From a discount at a flee market to getting your first date, landing a job, and closing the biggest deal in your life. All involve selling.

Other sales books focus only on the sales process after you are already a salesperson and what to do to be better at sales or if you are trying to figure it out after you have made your way into a sales job. There are strategies for becoming successful, but it is assumed that the foundation to build that success is already in place in other programs. The connection between behavior and action to become successful is vague. On the back end of your success, you will need something to do with it; otherwise, your effort will be short-lived, and all your hard work will be for nothing. You must have a purpose. Without purpose, you cannot have a fulfilled life, and you will never reach your potential or go beyond your potential.

Proactive Actions: Covers the fundamentals for building better habits. These will lead to stronger relationships and a better you! Goal setting and the system to achieve those goals are a necessity for any type of success.

Compound Effects: Covers the astounding effects of delayed gratification. Small, consistent actions will build something beyond your imagination over the long run.

Core Competencies: Covers moral values and how to treat others better. Be a better teammate and partner to work toward a common goal in your personal and work life.

Sales Efficacy: Covers how to be a better salesperson by profession and in life. You don’t have to work in sales to be a salesperson. If you want wealth, you need to be able to sell. If you want the most out of life, you will need to know how to sell.

watching the time

Time is flying and I need to get back to writing the book!
